When we joined a new company, we are new to the environment, new to the job scope and responsibilities. Then, we are given an orientation and your senior will bring you around in the company to introduce you to all the people there. When you get to know some of the people there, you slowly to adapt to the environment and getting to know more people. Your senior or the person that is going to leave the company that is why you are being hired, they will transition their knowledge to you and you need to learn it as much as possible for you to be able to perform your work. Then, trainings are given to you. After giving you the training, you need to execute what you have learned and to make it better once you have the hands of it.

Same for this concept, if you have joined as a Herbalife Independent Distributor, we do not expect you to be independent. Because you will be wasting a lot of time being Independent. The reason why is because we already know what will work, and if you just follow our steps you can actually eliminate all those unnecessary problems.

Your ranking now is Supervisor but a lot of people out there that wanted to be Supervisor yet is not so easy to achieve it. Aren't you glad that you got such a good opportunity? And to do this business, the first step is to be at Supervisor ranking which we already helped you. But if you do not want to make full use of this good opportunity, it will be wasted and you will be disqualified by the following year. It is not a loss to me, but is to you!

Year 2008, recession resulting in SERIOUS credit crunches in our country, Malaysia.. which means huge rises of groceries, household fuel costs and no doubt serious increase of food which is more than 100% increment. Does our salary increase by 100% in a year?? Let's make a comparison, RM300 can be 1 month food expenses for 3 meals a day. But today, with the same amount of money RM300 can be 1 month food expenses but maybe only for 2 meals a day!

Aren't we going to do something about it? Aren't we going to find ways to increase our income to enjoy the lifestyle that we wanted? or going vacation of our dream place? Or are you willing to sacrifice the current lifestyle that you have when your income did not increase as much as the the fuel or food rises?

Are You Company's Asset?

When I am hurt, does company knows? All they wanted is Me to help out with the transitioning of knowledge transfer by wanting me to extend my stay in the company. They offered me to extend my stay by working part time there.

HR get back to me with the salary. The formula is..
Salary + Allowance/30 days/8 hours * number of working days * number of hours. By looking at the formula, the part time salary is so low compared to what I have earned from Herbalife!

I then got back to HR to demand for more salary with the range that I wanted. Right now still waiting for their feedback.

In life, how many times we have the chance to demand salary from our boss? You will felt that the company needs you more rather than you need them! It is a totally different set of thinking when you have made up the mind not to work for people anymore. Some how you will feel that, it is really pointless working for people. What can they give you at the end of the day? How much increment can they give you in a year? How many times they can give you promotions? Things in the market keep increasing, does our salary increase as well? No way!

I have made up my mind to do this business full time and there will be no turning back for me. New Year Resolution? Be my own boss and Earn what I am worth!

Renewal Of Distributorship

Renewal of distributorship for a normal distributor is MYR38.00
Renewal of distributorship for a supervisor distributor is MYR113.00

At the Distributor Identification Card, it is stated the Application Date. Your distributorship is valid for 12 months from the Application Date. The following year, your distributorship is expired. You then have the choice to renew or not. To renew is to continue to enjoy the distributor privilege that is the discounts.

If you find that your sponsor or your upline is not the kind of mentor you are looking for, and you have found someone who is more experienced in this business and you wanted them to be your mentor to guide you in the business or to guide you how to consume the products correctly, you can choose not to renew your distributorship. Then, wait for another 12 months for the membership to be terminated. Then, this is considered your record is clean for the past 24 months, no products is purchased using that account. After the 24 months, you can have the freedom to join Herbalife again with a different mentor or sponsor.

Other MLM companies will like to attack Herbalife by saying that their company does not need to do re qualification every year to retain the ranking and the downlines. Re-qualification is a good thing for a person who is really into building his network or organization. With the re-qualification, company will automatically eliminate those are not active in the business or not active as a consumer. So, when a network marketer looks at his overall organization, he knows clearly who are those actives one in his organization.

Re-qualification is not something easy, but if we work for it to build a stable organization, and with a stable organization with stable organization volume points, things will become a whole lot easier. Network marketing is all about working in a team. If you wanted to work it out alone to build a huge network it takes time. But with the sponsor or upline support, you will be on the faster track.

Do It For Yourself

Stable Part Time Income + Ranking

If you manage to have 2,500vp consistently for 3 consecutive months, you will be promoted to Active Supervisor ranking which you will be entitled a pin that look like this.

If you manage to have 2,500vp consistently for 4 consecutive months, you will be promoted to World Team ranking or personal volume points of 10,000vp in 1 month or 500 Royalty Override in 1 month.

These 2 rankings is achievable when you are in this business as Part Time basis. But still, it depends on your hard work, how much effort you put in and how much time you spent on this business.

Stable Part Time Income

How to have a stable part time income from this business? First of all, do it everyday. Same thing if you want to lose weight, you need to take the shake consistently everyday to see the results. If today you take 5 shakes, and the next 2-3 days you don't take the shake at all, then take 1 shakes, then continue 2 shakes again.. By looking at it, definitely will not see any results from the products. Same concept..

Set a goal. Set your target based on volume points.
First target : 500vp
Second target : 1,000vp
Third target : 1,500vp
Fourth target : 2,000vp
Fifth target : 2,500vp
Sixth target : Stablize 2,500vp every month

Let's assume you have a very stable volume points of 2,500vp every month. 2,500vp is around 104 bottles of F1. Let's say you earn just RM10 from 1 bottle of F1, 104 * RM10 = RM1,040.00

If you have a part time income of RM1,000.00 it is a whole lot better compare to some people that is working full time for just RM800-RM1000. Agree?

Part Time Income

Let's give an example, you look for a Part Time job. Of course, this part time job will require you to work staged hours or by number of days and by the end of the month, you will receive your pay. Same thing for this business, if you work part time, you need to determine how you going to work this business out, like 2 hours per day. In order for you to see results, you must do it everyday. Sometimes maybe you do for half and hour, some times 2 hours, sometimes 2.5 hours, is Ok as long as you do it everyday.

Do it everyday, no matter the time spent is short or long.
Treat this part time job as a full time job, like how keen you are in going to work everyday (working people) or how keen you are by going to class everyday (student).

Postive Mentality and Good Attitude

This business is about people's business. Because you are dealing with people. That is the reason we must have the positive mentality and good attitude.

Positive Mentality : We know that, there are lot of people that will say "No" to what we are trying to offer to them, be it the products or business opportunity. Because we know, the "No" will be definitely more than "Yes", and we really got no time to waste on those who said "No" to us. We should say Thank You to them for saying "No" because it is the time for us to move on to search for the next "Yes". Always have a positive mentality and you will find that this business is not so difficult to do at all.

Good Attitude : We need to show that we have a good attitude to our customers. Just take for example, you called in to any of the Customer Service Centre and the staff is very rude to you, how would you feel? Same thing, we need to be always be polite and courteous to our customers, try to help them in any possible ways that they can in order for them to achieve the results that they wanted from the products or the business opportunity.

This business is about money, but in our mind money should come last and the willingness to help people should be the priority for this business. This is because, if you put Money as the first priority, the way you talk to people, your action will let other people felt that you wanted to sell things to them or push them to make decision fast to purchase your products. But, if in your mind you keep on telling yourself you want to help more people, then, you are doing this business by showing that you are really sincere in helping them and really care for their results.

Remember, positive mentality and good attitude can make your business grow.

When we are working for people or working in an organization, what we wanted from our management is appreciation to what we have contributed to the company. But it is very usual and for most company, when you are still with them, Yes, you are still their assets. But the moment you have tendered your resignation, things had changed.

What happen today was, the company is distributing the Diary for year 2008. Everyone is getting their Diary except for me. When I asked the administration girl why am I not getting mine, she apologize to me saying that it is company's decision not to give it to me.

Oh my god! I really feel so hurt! Very hurt! At that point of time, I felt that the decision that I have made to leave the company is 100% correct. It is not the matter of getting the diary, but it is the matter of the feelings. Everyone should be treated equally!

This case, I can also relate to those Herbalife Distributors that who will only service those who are their downlines or customers. For those who are not, you will not be getting any service. No wonder this kind of distributor will fail in their business, and so does a company. Even the person is at management level, but they behave so unethically towards another human being, they would have failed to perform the task for management role. All I can say, the world is round, what comes around goes around.

Even though we have little skills, with a good products that is high demand, you can actually own a business. And with a business, you can then starting to earn more money which will be sufficient for you to acquire assets. A very simple picture, but a lot of people does not think that way. They will be thinking, to start a business, must have skills and expertise in that field, must have a large modal of start up capital..etc etc.

And when we tell them about MLM, they started to reject the business as they are thinking MLM Business required them to have skills to do the talking, the skills to do presentation, the skills in approaching people and the skills to sell to people. This is a wrong thinking about MLM Business. MLM Business do not require so much of your skills or expertise to start up this business.

Clicks To Earn Money

One of my friend recommended myLot and Clicksense. He told me that he has earned USD4 - USD10 after joining just for 1 month. He said, all he needs to do is spend one hour to do the clicking to earn money. And if he managed to refer someone to join the program, he will be earning the referral payout.

Then, I told him about how I earned money from Google Adsense. I said I prefer to wait for people to click at my ads rather than I spend time clicking ads just to make money.

What can we see from here? Both of us really have a different set of thinking.
My friend = If I work, I get paid.. Sad to say that is typical employee's mindset.
Me myself = Finding ways to make passive income, as other people is working for me!

Yes, as what my friend is doing can immediately earn money. But what I am doing, is I need time to create blogs, writing, monetizing and building traffics then started to earn some money. Let's compare, after 1 year my friend would be definitely be still clicking ads for the extra income, but as for me everything has been build up, all I have to do is to maintain my blogs and clicking will be done by other people. Of course, one looks easier and the other is tougher as it requires more effort and time to build something up.

So, same concept applies to this MLM business. During the start, you might be earning very little or didn't earn anything at all, but if you keep on doing and doing to build up your network, everything will be different. Once your network has been build up, money will start to flow in as that time is the time you started to see some money. As you build more, of course the more you will be earning!

Ask yourself, which one you want to be?
A. The one who clicks to earn money?
B. The one who waits for people to click to make passive income?

Sincere, Caring or Greedy, Selfish Upline?

How to find out the truth about your upline? Few questions you can ask..

1) Can you give me more than 25% discounts even I just purchase 1 bottle of F1?
2) Can you help me to look for downlines and put below me?
3) Can you help me to promote 10-20 Supervisors for me?

If their first answer to you is No, then you can stop asking anymore because it is nothing wrong for a distributor to get any discounts from the supervisor upline. But why isn't your upline giving it to you? With just a simple authorization letter, when you walk in to the company, present it to them and you can happily purchase the products with the more discounts with lesser volume points.

Referring to the Sales & Marketing Plan & Business Rules: Rule 20-E Commission Payments for Downline Distributors -Since volume is accumulated by fully qualified Supervisors only, the Wholesale Profit or Commissions earned by downline Distributors, when their own downline Distributors purchase products, will be paid to the Supervisor. The Supervisor is required to pay these Commissions out to their downline Distributors by the end of the month the Commission payments is received.

You are being recruited for 2 things; as a consumer or for the business opportunity. Let's not talk about being a consumer, but the main reason you want to join this business is because you want to earn some extra pocket money. But, sad to say that all unethical distributors will recruit you and expect YOU to make them richer and successful in their business!

Let's take an example of question posted by one of the distributor that just wanted to start the business but do not know how. This screen shot I got it from Forum.Cari.Com.My

What can you tell from here? What has the upline do to this distributor? Why does the girl needs to post such questions in public forums? This is a very crucial questions that she must ask the upline, because uplines are the one who will guide and teach you to do this business. We need to get the full trainings from our upline. They are the one we should work closely with and not other people!

This shows that the upline for this forumer does not care about her. Care as in.. make sure she know what is the first step, second step, third step in this business. Do you think because they are called Independent Distributors they must be Independent? No Way! If every newbie can be independent, then the success rate in MLM wont be just 2% and 98% will be failure! Upline causes their downlines to be a failure.

When we recruit, we have the responsibilities to let them understand about this business, and if they are not interested at all, then don't bother about them. But for those who are really keen to learn and to be successful in this part time/full time career, it is the upline responsibilities to teach them to guide them in this business.

I remembered once my upline told me, you are now in the University of Making Money, I am your lecturer and you are my student. You are now learning how to make money in this University. So, learn well.. I asked him, when will I be considered as a Graduate? He said, once you have reached the ranking of GET = Global Expansion Team.

I am glad, I met a really caring upline. Who really helped me a lot, especially in educating me in this business, how to run this business, how to make more money out of the business and whenever I need to talk to him, he is there..of course his generosity like free shakes and tea when paying them visits..

Came across myHerbalstop.com is one of a company whereby is creating website and offering it free for the Herbalife Distributors. If they wanted additional feature like the credit card payment, product discounts and promotions etc etc..they need to pay for the service.

Actually there are many unethical distributors who is using one of this method to get people started in the Work From Home Business! They claimed that you do this business over the internet. For those who don't know anything about Internet business, they easily take out money to invest for the business! This is called Scam!

Having a website is simple.. But running an Internet Business is not that easy. By having a website and sit there waiting for people to visit your website, and purchase from your website is something that will not work out so well. There are some basic things that you need to do in order for people to know about your website, about what you can offer, why are you so different from other competitors, you need to drive the traffic to your website, you need to have keywords that able to help you be ranked #1 or ranked #2 in Google... These are the basics..

Making money over the internet is not as easy as that. I am in the process of learning how to earn money from Blogging too!

Bad Attitude Distributors

I personally feels that this distributor is not sincere in helping people to lose weight. Why I said so? She mentioned that "I WILL FOLLOW UP UNTIL U LOSS UR WEIGHT" (AVAILABLE IF U JOINS AS MEMBER)

Speaking from a customer point of view, I won't want a Personal Weight Management Coach that is so money minded! What do you mean by getting the follow up service if you are I am your member?! This is so ridiculous!

Before this, one of my downline told me, a Herbalife Distributor who used to be her ex-colleague who joined Herbalife Full Time and she recruited a lot of people from that company or even that department. Once every 2 weeks, this distributor will visit her previous company to do servicing and follow up. Guess what! Those who did not purchase that week or that month, SORRY!, no service for the customer.. You must be wondering what kind of service she offer? Helping to weigh the weight and measure the body ONLY!

Another story from one of my customer, she told me that she consumed the shakes for 5 months and no results at all and when she talked to her sponsor, the sponsor just ignore her. How could a person doing a business do something like this to a customer? Aren't they suppose to be Customer Oriented?

No wonder, from my personal experience in this business there are so many abandon customers that did not get any results from Herbalife cause they do not know the correct way to consume the shakes.

Requalification For Supervisor Ranking

The moment before you decided to be promoted to Supervisor, have your sponsor told you that Re-qualification needs to be done every year to retain your ranking, discounts and to retain your downlines? The period for re-qualification is from 1st Feb - 31st Jan each year.

Basically 3 methods
1) 4000vp in 1 month (To retain your ranking + discounts + downlines)
2) 2500vp in consecutive 2 months (To retain your ranking + discounts + downlines)
3) Buddy System (To retain your ranking + discounts + downlines)
4) 4000vp from period 1st Feb = 31st Jan (To retain your ranking + discounts ONLY)

And re-qualification period for Supervisor Year 2006 is almost coming to an end... Have you done yours? Do you know that you will NOT be entitled 50% anymore if you did not manage to do the re-qualification within the period given? Do you know all your downlines will be your sponsor's distributors instead of yours?

Is 2500vp a MUST For Every Month?

Ever heard your sponsor is telling you that, 2500vp is a must every month in Herbalife? Does this sounds familiar to you "See, our upline is a Millionaire Team, see, you are so near to our upline, if you want to earn the income like our upline, you must do 2500vp every month".

Actually when your sponsor said that to you is, their hidden meaning is "You must do 2500vp so that I can earn more money from you!"

In Herbalife Sales and Marketing book, it is never stated that 2500vp per month is a must. Unless, if you have supervisor downlines who are active and you wanted to get the bonus from the downlines points, which is called your Organization Volume Points then based on your personal volume points will determine how much you will be earning.

Below is the explanation:

3 Levels Royalty 1%- 5%
In a simple words, Royalty means bonus that you can get from your Supervisor downlines points.
In order for you to get 1%, in your account you need to have 500vp
In order for you to get 2%, in your account you need to have 1,000vp
In order for you to get 3%, in your account you need to have 1,500vp
In order for you to get 4%, in your account you need to have 2,000vp
In order for you to get 5%, in your account you need to have 2,500vp

You are a Supervisor and for this month, you have 500vp in your own account, and your downlines have 500vp as well. Then, you will be entitled 1% of 500vp (supervisor downlines points).

1 F1 = 23.95vp
500vp =21 bottles of F1
21 x RM136 (Herbalife Retail Price) = RM2,856 (Total sales contributed to Herbalife)

If you account have 500vp = 1% of RM2,856.00
If you account have 1,000vp = 2% of RM2,856.00
If you account have 1,500vp = 3% of RM2,856.00
If you account have 2,000vp = 4% of RM2,856.00
If you account have 2,500vp = 5% of RM2,856.00

You can get the bonus for 1st~3rd Level and each level max 2,500vp.

So, ask your sponsor.. Do you have any active supervisors downlines? If not, why should you be producing 2500vp every month?

Herbalife Business is like a Tree

Why do I say that this business is like a tree? Because..
Tree Trunk = Company (Strong and Solid)
Leaves = Distributors
Branches = Supervisors

So, what picture or what you can imagine? In this business, leaves will grow and will drop. Some of the branches, some will grow and some will break. So, in this business, distributors come and go is something part of this business.

Actually this does not only apply to Herbalife business, in actual fact it applies to all the company out there, as leaves represent employees.. Employess come and go.. so, is the same..

Conclusion: It is the same because it is called Busines!

Disappointed with Herbalife

Today I came across another website http://www.wahm.com/boards/Forum21/HTML/000047.html and from this forum, it shows that many distributors have met unethical sponsors. What has mentioned in the forum by the forumers are true.

They are asked to purchase 4,000vp instead of lower vp ranging from 1,250vp - 1,450vp. If those that has purchased 4,000vp they should have think about it before purchasing so much of products because personal consumption for 1 person, it takes more than 1 year for you to finish the products.

I personally get to know a Herbalife distributor who have purchased 4,000vp around RM14,800 and till end of this year, she still have the stock of 5 Business Power Pack which is around = 2,044.50vp. This shows that after 1 year, she just managed to get rid of 2,000vp. I do feel sad for those that has purchased 4,000vp. Those purchased 4,000vp usually are left unattended by their uplines because their upline always think that, Ya, you are now an Independent Distributor, and you should be Independent!

Another case, she is a normal Herbalife Distributor who entitled 25% of discounts. She purchased around 400+ vp which entitled her for 35% discounts from Herbalife. And she is very happy about the discounts that she got. The next thing that happen is her upline called her and told her that she should not get that discounts and should only get 25%. Then, her upline asked her, if you need stock, just order from me and not thru Herbalife. Unethical isn't it?

Credit card debt is also another problem. Whenever a distributor asked their upline, how can I get cheaper products, they will say, if you want the highest discounts you need to purchase 1,000vp @ 42% discounts. That is the cheapest you can get. 1,000vp is around RM3,700. Just because they wanted cheaper products, they swipe the credit card. And they can't finished paying it within the next month, they are charged credit card interest. They are paying the interest for nothing!

That is why, most of the people who involved in Herbalife.. are walking the failure road. Because the upline/sponsor they themselves are killing their own distributors or downlines. If you have decided and wanted to earn some money from Herbalife, you should really search and look for a real sponsor, like mentioned by HerbalifePA "My recommendation is, get a REAL sponsor and they help you more than you can imagine".

MLM Company Must Have Consumable Products!

I would like to elaborate more on the moments and also the tips and consideration by the writer, Jason and from my personal experience with MLM Business.

Moments

1) Upline that is trying to cut off the downlines banner (Uplines are the one who should support the downlines in the business and not by doing such thing. This shows that the upline is just care about himself and not his downlines. In MLM, to be successful, downlines needs to be able to survive first in this business)

2) Attend sales and motivation classes from successful people who are earning RM10k - RM15k in 3 months. (If a company did not ask those successful people share their stories, be it a real stories or trying to cheat people, they have to do so. Impossible when attending such classes the speakers were saying, I only earned RM10-RM30 per month. This is impossible. That is why company always held meetings and seminars. It is a way to get people in. They have to talk big. Those leaders maybe considered those lucky ones that able to get that amount of money in 3 months time, but how many of them are as lucky as them? How about those unlucky ones? Another thing, a lot of people will say, attend classes or seminars will make you become successful. And how true it is? Why many people still failed in MLM even they are so religiously bringing people to trainings or seminars or they themselves never missed a single classes?)

3) Printing and giving flyers (The reason we join a business is to find more money and not taking out money first. Printing flyers incur cost and giving flyers will take up a lot of time. In this decade, doing business is not using this method anymore. Maybe for the last 10-50 years, yes this method works, but now, not anymore as information easily found over the internet, comparison of products also easily found over the internet. Giving flyers means you wanna sell things to them, and no body likes it! If people feel they need it, they themselves will search for it and buy it when they need it. Conventional way of doing MLM won't work anymore)

Tips and considerations before involve in MLM Business by Jason
1) MLM Company (A company must have consumable products. The background of the company must be strong and the demand for the products is there. Choose a correct company before joining.)

2) Leaders/Upline (This is very crucial, as in MLM is talking about Power of Duplication. If an upline is showing good example, showing good attitude, then their organization or network will have the same kind of people below them. If a upline is not doing the correct thing, and trying to duplicate the wrong attitude or information to the downlines, the upline actually is killing his own network or organization. It is very important to choose a correct team and correct upline as he is the person will give you full support in the business)

3) Marketing Plan and the payout (Yes, this is very important too because we involve in MLM just because of Money. So, we need to understand clearly about the marketing plan and how is the payout. From my experience in my previous post, I did mention that some of the uplines/sponsors are not willing to tell their downlines about the marketing plan or the discounts. Being an upline, we must be transparent to our downlines and not by hiding this and that information for their own benefits.)

4) Selling and marketing the products (This is a process of all the business owners must do. But, how to go about it? The answer is, be different! Do something different from what other people is doing and you can find that you are able to sell easily and also market yourself easily.)

5) Amount of Investment (Ah, this one.. I also mentioned in my previous post we can venture in the same business with lower start up cost, but why some people are still insist that you must come out with the bigger amount? This means the more money you invested, the more money the upline will receive. Still falls back, upline is GReeDy and SelFish!)

6) Internal competition or competition from peers (Internal competitor which we also call side lines. Each team have their own way of running the business. And so does the competition from peers = downlines. In this MLM business, just as long as we are different from our Internal Competitors, doing something than what they are doing, we are far better off than them. And for downlines, yes, not all of them will want to follow the upline way of doing things, is ok..let them be..just make sure always work as a team with the other downlines willing to work together with the uplines. To be successful in this business, is all about Integrity between the uplines and downlines)

7) Check the withdrawal statements (In Herbalife, when a distributor has purchased a lump sum of products which is 4,000vp but after a week, they realized that this business is just not for them, they can actually sell back those products to Herbalife. But this little little terms and conditions, many uplines will never tell their downlines. Because once the downlines sell those products back to Herbalife, the upline will need to take out his commission and pay back to Herbalife. Still, back to the same point, Greed and Selfish upline!)

8) External competition (This is similar to Sales and Marketing, we need to be different and not doing the same thing like that other people did. If we just follow what other people does, means you are walking the path of failure, because the rate of failure are more than the rate of successful people. Another important thing, if we want to receive more, we need to give more. The more we give, the more we will receive. This is what my upline and me practice in our business)

9) Quota (Yes, a lot of people trying to jump into the conclusion on how to get the bonus. Actually, in order to receive the bonus or royalty, we need to meet certain criteria. But, not many people want to learn or understand about that. And when some other company people told them, Herbalife is so difficult to do cause you need to maintain 2500vp to receive the bonus, this is not true at all! The person who understand the most is the person who runs the business successfully. Those trying to say something bad about other company's marketing plan.. what is their intention in the first place?)

10) Future (Yes, nothing comes easy in life. We need to work for what we want to achieve. But in life, it is important to have a plan ahead us. A plan for the next 5 years and the plan for the next 10 years. If we are working for people, where will we be in next 5 years/10 years? If we are working for people, how much will I be earning in the next 5 years/10 years? Plan for your future and that is a must. Always choose a good upline, a good team, and the investment option is the least for you to start a business.)

It is quite a long post, but I am sure.. this are the common questions or common problems faced by most of the people who are currently or previously involved in am MLM before. You failed once, but does not means that you are going to fail forever. My advise, do not give up yet. You did not make it in the previous MLM because you did not meet the right people, you did not meet the right team. Do give yourself another chance, another chance for you to be successful in MLM because we have the right people, we have the right team, we have the right attitude and mentality.

School > College > University > Graduate

Let's count.. In total how many years we studied all together.
Primary school = 6 Years
Secondary School = 5 Years
College/University = 4 years
Total = 15 years!!!!

After studying for 15 years then graduated, got a Degree certificate.. Then look for a job that is related to what we study. When we just got a job as a Fresh Graduate, our month salary is only around RM1,800 - RM2,500 per month.

I have a conversation with one of my friend..
Alex: So, how much your father spent on your college fee, accommodation and food for the past 4 years?
Stella: Hmm, around RM100k
Alex: After working 4 years in IT field, have you finished paying your father the RM100k?
Stella: No, what I earned is just enough for my own living expenses.

This conversation does give me an impact.. Is true, I have been working for 4 years and I am unable to save up to RM100k!

How come in the first place, we just want to get a job that is related to what we study in college or university? How come we did not think that we should look for the kind of job that able to give us more monthly income or salary??

Let's do a simple count again..
After studying for 14 years and average a person can earn is only RM1,800 - RM2,500.
If you are working with people now, think back.. How much will you be earning in 10 years time from now. Let's assume an increment of RM100 per year. 10 years * RM100, the increment = RM1,000.
Assume basic is RM2,500 + RM1,000 (After 10 years) = RM3,500.00

But, If I can tell you, spend 3-5 years of time, really serious in learning about Herbalife, learning from your sponsors and you can earn RM3k - RM5k per month. Would you be willing to take out your time of 3 -5 years to learn to earn income of RM3k - RM5k?

Fire My Boss! and Be My Own BOSS!

Today is a special day for me.. because I FIRE MY BOSS!

Reasons for leaving as an employee..
1) No time freedom
2) Fixed income and increment is so low (My Herbalife Part Time every month income is more than the increment that I got!)
3) Can't see a future to have lots of money
4) Can't retire early..
5) Living from paycheck to paycheck each month..
6) Money is just enough for living..
7) Office politics and favoritism

Reasons for choosing to BE MY OWN BOSS..
1) Time Freedom
2) To make myself more valuable to the market place.
3) To help more people to become healthier
4) To be able to retire early

I feel very excited about it, but I know..there will be a lot of challenges that I will be facing and new things for me to learn..cause I will be running a Business and no longer an employee...

Irresponsible Distributors

There is a lot of consumer that managed to purchased the products, but they were never guided or teach on the right way to consume in order to get the results that they wanted. Of course, this kind of consumers are left unattended and when they started taking the products, the only thing that they complaint is no results! Or it does not work at all..

If you are running this business, make sure you are accountable for the customer that you are selling it to, because each customer, you have the responsibility to make sure they got the results from the products. But, if they themselves want to give up or do not want to take the products anymore, is their choice.

Now I understand why Herbalife does not allows products to be auctioned over the internet. That is the reason why a lot of consumers are complaining products no results. Doesn't matter how they market the products, but be a responsible distributor, get back to the customer and check out their progress.. or at least is the way they consume the products correct or not.

Reluctant and Greedy Sponsors/Uplines

During my journey in this business, I do met people who does tells me that their uplines are so reluctant to explain to them about the following things:

Marketing Plan - How to be promoted to Supervisors
Price List - Sliding Discounts

Simple reason why they do not want to tell you how to be promoted to supervisors. This is because, once you are promoted, there will be no more Retail Profit to be earned. Supervisor entitled 50% discounts where as normal distributor entitled 25%.. Your supervisor will be receive the 25% for each of your purchases.

Sliding Discounts, your Supervisor upline will only tells you that your entitlement is 25%. They will never explain to you how you can get 30% - 42% discounts. Simple reason, if you are purchasing in bulk and you get 42% (1000vp) your upline will be just earning 8% of the Retail Profit..

Like I mentioned in my previous article the difference between Retail Profit vs Royalty Bonus this kind of upline will be categorized as the Retail Profit earner.

So, be smart.. Read all the materials in the IBP (International Business Pack) especially on the marketing plan. If you have anything that do not understand, always approach your upline first, and if they can't help you, then you can call Herbalife Distributor Services hotline.

Retail Profit vs Royalty Bonus

If you have attended any of the seminars or training organized what you will hear ..
* I earned RM10k /month
* I earned RM20k/month
*I earned RM30k/month

First thing that comes to my mind when hearing this.. "How true it is? It sounds too good to be true" Yes, it is true.. their income.. But, there are 2 things to check out.. Are they the type of distributors that earning Retail Profit or earning Royalty Bonus?

You might be wondering, what is the difference when both also earning money? In a simpler or lay man term, Retail Profit = Normal conventional way of earning, once you sell the products, you earn after deduct of the cost price. Royalty Bonus is the overriding or bonus from Herbalife.

Just by asking yourself.. which type of upline that you would want to follow? The kind of upline that is earning Retail Profit or Royalty Bonus?

Buddy System Method To Promote Supervisors

Yesterday, talking to one of my officemate (which is not my downline/distributor), he just started to consume Herbalife Shakes and we are talking about Herbalife, on the ways to promote to supervisor. I'm surprised that he never heard about Buddy System before. I must admit that most of the people who went to the training or seminars, they never hear anything about this method.

To use this method, is actually the simplest and fastest way you can get a lot of supervisors downlines, but why not many uplines wiling to share this method with their downlines/distributors? Simple reason.. Using this method the Supervisor Upline will earn less Retail/Wholesale Profit. Why? Some upline will tell you, there is only 1 method which is promote using 4000vp. Why do they always tell you that is the only option/ways to be promoted to Supervisor ranking?

Let's make a simple calculation here, promoting 2 downlines to Supervisor ranking in the same month.
1) Using Buddy System, to promote 2 person = 5000vp
2) Using method 1, to promote 1 person = 4,000vp. To promote 2 person = 4000vp * 2 = 8000vp.

Retail Profit
1) 5000vp around 209 bottles of F1 @ 42% = RM18,475.60
Cost Price @ 50% = RM16,201.68
Retail Profit = RM2,273.92

2) 8000vp around 334 bottles of F1 @ 42% = RM29,525.60
Cost Price @ 50% = RM23,566.08
Retail Profit = RM5,959.52

So, now you understand why most of the distributors are promoting Method 1 = 4,000vp.

Work From Home? Really?

Have you ever received flyers saying "Work From Home. Earn RM1000 - RM3000 Part Time / RM5000 - RM8000 Full Time". What does most of us do when we got this kind of flyers? Read it, then look out for the rubbish bin and throw it away. But, don't be surprised..there is people who really response to those ads.

Think back for a while, are those people giving flyers really working from home? Isn't those people trying to promote Work From Home should be working at home, and why are they at the street giving out flyers? This means they are not Working From Home! Duh~~

What is the real Work From Home? Of course staying at home.. But can this business really work out if we don't need to go out and meet people and give flyers? The answer is Yes! And I can show you how... If you are interested...

Is Herbalife an Efficient Company?

I have been working with Herbalife for almost a year, not as a Herbalife Employee but as an Independent Distributor. I would personally think that Herbalife is really an efficient company because after placing so many orders for the past 12 months, ONLY 2 times Herbalife made mistake for my orders.

First mistake: Suppose to be a delivery order to be sent to my customer in KL, but somehow, after 5 days my customer called me up informing me that she have not receive the products. So, I checked with Herbalife what happen to that order. One of the Herbalife staff get back to me, very fast (Thumbs Up!) telling me that they have delivered it to my house back in Kuching! I was so mad that time, how could they make such mistake. But, they admit is their mistake, so I cool down. So, I asked them, what should I do now? The staff gave me two options

They can inform postlaju people to pick up that order from Kuching, then deliver it back to KL, then will then deliver to my customer.

To place a new order and directly send to my customer.

Thinking to myself the 2 options:
1) Why need so hassle? Since my parents are consuming, so let it be at home then.
2) Great! My customer won't have to wait for so long.

So, I made up my mind to go for option 2. Surprisingly, my customer received the products the next day!

Second Mistake: One of my customer SMS me telling me that they have not receive her products, and that was already the 3rd after getting the order number. Of course, I need to check with Herbalife. The same staff that attended to me before for the first mistake, she said she will get back to me after she have checked. They called me, but did not manage to pick up the calls. So I called back to get an updates and she said that the product has arrived at the post office and that day itself my customer will receive the products. Then, I checked back with my customer the following day, and my customer told me have not receive yet. So I called Herbalife, they checked and they did not get back to me. Then suddenly I received an SMS from my customer saying that she has pick up from Post Office and the address suppose to be "I" and not "1".

Yes, of course, this is human errors but still.. overall Thumbs Up for Herbalife Delivery Service and Distributor Phone Service! Great Job!

GET, Millionaire Team, President Team..

What are those? Well, those are the rankings in Herbalife which entitled for the overriding of infinity levels.

Just to share, 2 weeks ago.. I met another Distributor online while trying to promote Herbalife. And that lady/girl told me that she is already a GET Team member. So, I asked her, are you entitled the GET Bonus every month? She just keep quiet and never reply after that.

Reason why she did not reply:
1) She might not know so detailed about the marketing plan.
2) She might not have organization volume points of 20,000/month = 1,000 Royalty
3) She might not have personal volume points of 5,000/month.

In order to get the Bonus of a GET Ranking (1%-5% + 2% Infinity), No.1 & 2 needs to be fulfilled, if not she will only be entitled for Supervisor bonus which is only 1st-3rd Level (1%-5%).

So, if you happen to meet anyone that is trying to recruit you by telling you which ranking they are in.. well, don't trust them too much.. What you need to do is to ask for their proof of income from Herbalife; either the cheques or payment statement from the beginning of the year till end of the year.. If they can't show it to you, well.. what is your judgment towards this person? Up to you to decide..

Herbalife CEO - Michael Johnson

A lot of people does not know who Michael Johnson is. But is OK.. let me share with you. He is the man who is trying to promote the Waltz Disney cartoon, Mickey Mouse. Now see how famous Mickey Mouse is.. can said that everyone in the whole world, including old people, children..all knows about Mickey Mouse.

Michael Johnson has quit from the previous company and joined Herbalife not as a distributor, but as a CEO. I attended the Singapore Extravaganza in July 2007, of course he is there and he shared to us about his dreams.. Guess what! He will make Herbalife so popular that every corner of the world will know about Herbalife and Herbalife will be the branding that everyone knows.

We have such an ambitious CEO.. a good company with good products, affordable price, and good marketing plan, wouldn't that is the company that everyone wanted to join? Don't you think, when the day that Herbalife Shakes is so popular that you don't even need to promote it and consumers will purchase it by themselves.. just like how consumers purchase Milo from the supermarket/hypermarket? Why Promote Supervisors Downlines?

Imagine you have a business, and now is time for you to expand your business by opening up new stores/branches.. In order to earn more money, you need to have more stores and more branches. Same thing applies in this business. The reason why we need to promote downlines to supervisors is because we want to have more stores or branches for our Herbalife business.

1 Supervisor = 1 Branch/Store
If you have 20 Supervisors = 20 Branches/Stores

Sharing with you... Ah Kau's Story

Ah Kau is a guy who sells newspaper every morning next to your apartment, and you are one of his daily regular customers. Before dashing off to your office every day, you will go to his small stall and buy The Star newspaper. Wearing a newly pressed shirt, a tie, and a pair of Clarks shoes, you grab a copy of The Star, pay RM1.20 and exchange smiles with Ah Kau and greet him. "Apa macam Ah Kau ini hari? Bisnes ada baik?" The normal greeting like you do every day. Yes, Ah Kau doesn't speak English. He speaks Chinese and knows a little bit of Malay. He speaks a little bit of Malay but with a very thick Chinese accent."Biasa saja! ini bisnes aa, kadang kadang baik, kadang-kadang tada untung."Biasalah hidup. Kadang kadang ok, kadang kadang tak ok." You give Ah Kau a pat on the back. You smile and walk away and get into your car.

You start the engine and start driving to your office, a multinational semiconductor company located in a premier industrial area. You are a young and promising finance executive and the future looks bright for you. A year goes by and things look pretty good on the track. You decide to marry your fiance and have your new wife moves in to your place. Both of you feel happy because you can save more money as the two of you will be sharing one apartment and can live as one. Ah Kau is still selling the newspaper as usual. Sometimes in the morning your wife gets the newspaper from Ah Kau instead of you. A year later a child comes along, and you decide to buy and move into a newly developed condominium just across the street. This place is bigger so it will be perfectly fit for the 3 of you. But since both of you are working, you decide to get a maid to take of the household and your kid.

By this time you're offered a managerial job from another multinational; the remuneration package offered is much better in terms of the pay, contractual bonus, medical benefits, ESOS scheme and a few others which make it impossible for you to decline. So you join this company happily. You get busier. You realize that you spend less and less time with your family. When your department is busy preparing for the next audit, your working hours become more and more ridiculous. Any internal issues arising in the office means you'll be stuck in the office until 8 or 9 pm. Sometimes, during the weekend, you'll spend your time in your office, buried under paper works and documentation's, instead of taking your family for a walk in the park.

One morning, on your way to get your copy of The Star, you realized that Ah Kau is no longer in his stall. So is his rundown motorbike. Instead, there's another young Chinese guy at the stall. "What happen to Ah Kau?" You ask out of curosity. "Oh, he is still around, but he is no longer taking care of this stall as he has opened up a new grocery shop down town. I am running this newspaper stall for him. "Ok." you smile. You feel happy for Ah Kau. At last he manages to improve his life.

Your normal life continues.

A year passes by and at the end of your company's fiscal year, you're rewarded for your effort with a 5 months bonus pay-out by your employer. Wow. Now that is a very handsome reward. You feel your effort has been equally compensated. To celebrate, you decide that it's time to trade your 5-year old Proton Wira to the latest Honda Accord model. It won't be much a problem to you to get a loan scheme from the bank as your pay slip will provide you an easy gateway to access financial help from any bank.

One day, the hardest reality of life hits you right on the face. The company that you've been working for years announces that they're moving their business to China for cost and competitive reason and has asked you to find a job somewhere else. "What?" You scream out cold. "I got a lot of liabilities on the card! Who's gonna pay for my mortgage? My car? My credit card? My gym fees? My bills?" You yell like there's no way out. This is the first time you feel let down by your own employer. All your hard work seem to go up on the smoke. You feel sick. You now hate your company.

On the way home, you stopped by at a mamak restaurant for a cup of teh tarik while pondering about your future. Alone. Suddenly you saw this new, shiny BMW 3 series being parked nearby. And to your surprise, it was Ah Kau. Yes, Ah Kau who used to sell newspapers nearby your old apartment. "What happened to old Ah Kau?" You whisper to your self. Ah Kau still recognizes you, and sit next to you, and shared his story."

To make it short, Ah Kau had accumulated his money from selling newspapers to open more stalls, one after another. Every new stall is run by his workers so that he focused on opening more and more stalls, which in turn give him more and more money. Over the years, he had accumulated enough cash to open up new grocery store while at the same time buying more assets to grow his wealth. And his current wealth and success is achieved without any loan or financial help from banks and other financial institutions. There you go. That's the story.

While Ah Kau is set to become financially free, you're back to where you're started before. Ground Zero. Before leaving, Ah Kau gives you a familiar quote," Biasalah hidup. Kadang-kadang ok, kadang kadang tak ok."He gives you a pat on the back and walks away.

In reality, if you're observant enough, there are a lot of Ah Kaus out there, that you will see every day and every where you go. The names are different, but inside them is every character of Ah Kau. They might be Uncle Dorai, Ah Chong, Pak Abu, Makcik Gemuk, Pak Man nasi lemak or others. They look to be struggling on the surface, but if you look carefully and compare with you life, many of them are living with little or no liabilities. They ride an old kapcai bike. They live in an old rundown house. They don't have credit card to swipe. They wear a 10-year old shirt and short. No new, shiny Toyota Harrier.

In short, their living means are far below than yours. But what you don't realize is that many of them can save more money than yours, and over the years.

MLM vs Mc Donald

Mc Donald, is a very fast food chain restaurant and I am sure everyone knows about it. How does Mc Donald making money? By franchising, correct? They tried to have a lot a lot of restaurants everywhere, the best every corner of the street... Why do they want to do that?

Let's take a very basic calculation..
1 Restaurant is selling 100 burgers per day and let's assume the profit is RM1.00 per burger.
In a day, the retail profit is RM100.00.
And assuming they have 100 stores, RM100 * 100 stores = RM10,000 per day..

Same concept..for MLM Business..

1 Restaurant = 1 Distributor
RM1.00 profit = Bonus from MLM

If you have 100 Distributors and each of them you are earning the commission/bonus of RM1.00 from a distributor per day, in a month, you are earning
100 Distributors * RM1.00 * 30 days = RM3,000 per month...

Can you see the picture?? MLM is a business, just like other business out there...
If you wanted to expand your business, of course you wanted to have more branches, correct? So, same concept.. branches/outlets = distributors...

Came across one of the article from The Star (Malaysia News Paper Online). Here is the link.

When I first read the article, first thing came to my mind is..
1) Who are these sisters?
2) What is so special about them compared to other sisters?
3) So, what if they are rich?

Different people reading the same article will have a different opinions or views.
As for me, YES! It is a great article..why? Because it is an eye-opener article for most people out there that anyone can be a millionaire regardless of your age, as long as you willing to put in your effort, your time.. success is just in front of you..

Ask yourself, how often this questions pop up in your mind?
"How I wish I have additional of RM1,000 per month..."
"How I wish I can go for holidays..or travelling.."
"How I wish the increment for next year will be more.."
"How I wish the things in the market is not increasing.."
"I wanna be RICH.."
"How I wish I can take long leaves.."
"How I wish I got more time to spent together with my kids.."

STOP COMPLAINING! What you have today is what you choose to have...

If you choose to have additional income or pocket money, you gotta do something to achieve that. Don't expect to sit there and dreaming that money will drop from the sky.. You need to get out of your comfort zone..
